Betws-y-Coed The Marin Trail

The Marin Mountain Bike Trail starting point is just a short Bike ride from Betws-y-Coed.

Go over the famous Pont y Pair Bridge

and turn left by Gwydyr Castle, up the hill past the Old Lead mines and you will approach the Car Parking area and the start of the trail.

The trail is 25 Killometres long and is a proper mountain bike trail in every sense of the word.

Mountain biker Stunning scenery

There are big climbs, big descents, exhilliarating single track and stunning scenery

You ride through Gwydyr Forest which is one of the largest forests in Wales.The singletrack has some very tight, technical, rocky and open ground to contend with.

Make sure you come prepared as there are no trailhead facilities at present( Dec 2003 )such as Toilets or Water fills. Expect the unexpected for Weather conditions, take some spares and tools in case of breakdown.
