Croeso Betws

The literal translation of this phrase means Welcome to Betws.

Betws in this case is the stunning little village of Betws-y-Coed situated in the northern part of the Snowdonia National Park.

The village has a large Green known as Tan Lan Field.The green is bordered by the main trunk road the A5 on one side and by the main line station on the other with a parade of shops and cafes.

Welsh is the predominant language of the village and on entering the village you will see the Croeso Betws sign ( Welcome to Betws-y-Coed )
