Bus Travel .See Snowdonia on the Sherpa Bus
Hop on the Snowdon Sherpa Open top double decker bus at Betws-y-Coed and take in the beautiful scenery of Snowdonia. The Welcome Host seminars are the first in a series of improvements to the Sherpa bus travel service for the forthcoming season. These will also include new vehicles, new liveries, promotional and marketing activities, new timetables, colour leaflets and improvements to bus stops and facilities. Run by Conwy County Borough Council and Gwynedd Council, with support from the Snowdonia National Park Authority, the Sherpa bus travel service provides an alternative to the motor car with scenic journeys running form Llandudno, Betws-y-Coed, Bangor, Bethesda, Caernarfon, Llanberis and Porthmadog into the heart of Snowdonia. Using the service opens up a range of interesting linear walks, is better for the environment and also reduces potential parking problems. "The Sherpa bus travel routes form part of a vital service to local people and tourists who visit Snowdonia," said Councillor Goronwy Edwards, Leader of Conwy Council and Chairman of the Green Key Executive Group. "It is an easy and attractive option for those who wish to visit some of the busiest scenic spots in Snowdonia, without having to take their car along." Christine Evans, Manager of Welcome Host Wales added:
With stunning views like this of Snowdonia no wonder this method is so popular for bus travel .
