Betws-y-Coed Top 10 Attractions

Betws-y-Coed's latest attraction is Tree Top Adventure.

If you like a bit of high wire walking or parachuting then try out this new high wire course.Fully qualified instructors on hand to help.

Mountain Biking is definitely one of the most popular attractions. The Marin Trail which starts near Gwydyr Castle and runs trhrough beautiful scenery in Gwydyr Forest.

The Pencmachno Trail is another favourite which starts in Penmachno Village past the Eagles pub.


A trip to Snowdonia is on everyones list . Take the train from LLanberis or Walk up to the summit of Snowdon.

 

Betws-y-Coed has many waterfalls close to the village. The Swallow Falls is the most popular. If you can find the Mare's Tail waterfall it is very spectactular especially on high rainfall days . Take the road out of Betws-y-Coed going over the Pont y Pair Bridge. Follow this road all the way to the next major T junction. Turn left and drive about 100 yards until you see a gateway and Car Park. Stop here and follow the woodland path up to see the falls.(Free )

The Conwy Falls are located along the path from the Conwy falls Cafe just off the A5 turning for Penmachno. Very spectacular if there has been a lot of rain falling and the river is high.


Betws-y-Coed has its own 9 hole golf course in a spectacular setting close to the river Conwy. Visitors are very welcome to use the course and facilities. Turn by the Village Garden Centre and follow the road round past the Caravan Site until you come the main entrance and parking areas.
