Gorphwysfa House is situated in its own grounds in a quiet area of Betws-y-Coed and overlooks the River Llugwy. The translation of Gorphwysfa from Welsh to English means House of Rest, or Resting Place.

 

Colin and Alan welcome you to their beautiful house for quality bed and breakfast accommodation and reliable service.

You may like to take advantage of our peaceful garden to relax in. Alan's miniature train track will not even disturb you as it runs around the garden track..

We are close to all the local walks in Gwydyr Forest , The Miners Bridge and The Swallow Falls.

We offer off road parking for guests, storage of mountain bikes or motor bikes, and drying facilities should you become soaked through.

Breakfasts are really our speciality as Colin who is a professional Baker and Confectioner has been in the trade for over 40 years. You will be sure he will make you the most delicious bread and rolls and not to mention the Fresh fruit salads, Melons or Strawberries or Pineapple to start with.

Following on with Bacon, Egg, Sausage, Mushrooms ,Beans and Potato Waffles.

To finish off with his home made Jams and Marmalades on Toast with Tea or Coffee .
